I like to pray cause it gives me joy
it's better than all my books and toys
cause I sing and dance as I call your names
Creator, Mystery, All the Same
So now I lay me down to sleep
My ma says - not another peep
But I'm still dancin in my soul
And I can't slow down and low and behold
There's angels coming thru my walls
And girl those angels are might tall.
One named Peter and one named Paul
One named Mary, there's another so small.
They circle around me and I feel so light
that it makes me think I could fly all night.
So I lie real still and I count to three
And they whisper in my ear about the jubilee.
How at the end of life there a party be
All the angels and creation and little ole me.
Bright lights all around lots of peace and calm
Lots of loving kindness - like a healing balm.
So I practice each night for my jubilee
I rest in the light that's surrounding me
And I watch as the angels come circle around
And deep inside I go down down.
And in the oneness I rest all night
And sleep in my bed until the morning light.
Amen.
Amen.
